Job Interviews

Page history last edited by Diane Evans 12 years, 10 months ago

This page gives tips and ideas about how to be interviewed and interview other people. Watch the videos to give you more ideas.

Think about what questions you would ask if you had to choose someone to work for you.

Read the CV, cover letter and job advert. Think of questions to find out more information for each of those documents.

Use open questions as much as possible: what, why, when, who, how and where.

Use situational questions so that the interviewee does a lot of talking and gives you detail. You need lots of good information to help you decide who to employ. Start situational questions with: Tell me about a time when . . . or Give me an example of when . . .

Now, change back to the person looking for a job. How would you answer the questions?
